World Wrestling Entertainment is being sued by two of its former wrestlers who claim they suffered repeated concussions during their time with the Stamford company.
Vito LoGrasso and Evan Singleton have filed what they hope will become a class action lawsuit in federal court in Philadelphia. They accuse WWE of "selling violence" and ignoring the harm to their employees, which they say includes brain damage.
Both wrestlers say they now have serious medical conditions related to their time in the ring.
FERC Rejects Review Request
The Federal Energy Regulatory Authority said it will not review the recent rate case granted to Connecticut Light and Power.
Senator Richard Blumenthal had asked the authority to consider the rate case, specifically the hike in fixed fees imposed by CL&P. Blumenthal was asking for a decision on whether such fees should be capped as a nationwide standard.
But FERC has responded that it doesn't have the authority to review state rate cases.
Xpect Plans Closure in Danbury
More than 80 people will lose their jobs as a Danbury discount supermarket shuts down.
Xpect Discounts said it will close the doors of its Newtown Road branch in early March. The regional chain hasn't given details reasons for the closure, saying only that it hasn't renewed the lease at the strip mall.
The chain had previously sued the mall's owners over plans to build a drive-in location for the fast food chain Sonic.
