This year's presidential race is exposing the vast disconnect between candidates and voters, the inadequacy of the two-party system, and the overall breakdown of our political system.
Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump are the front runners in this campaign, despite the deep divide within each party. Voters won't rally around one candidate and party elders can't seem to understand why voters are abandoning established candidates for the populist upstarts who challenge them. This intra-party conflict will likely mean that the majority of the population will be stuck with a president they despise. Where do we go from here?
On a lighter note, "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" is back for a second season. It's not easy to balance a comedy about kidnapping and abuse with just the right dash of seriousness. But, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock did it. They're re-writing the rules of comedy in ways from which there is no turning back. Now, they're back for a second season.
