Catie Talarski
Senior Director, Storytelling and Radio ProgrammingCatie Talarski is Senior Director of Storytelling and Radio Programming at Connecticut Public.
Catie has been working in journalism and storytelling for more than 15 years. Her stories and audio documentaries have aired on NPR and member stations across the country.
Catie has spent much of her career immersed in talk programming. She’s launched new shows, led production teams, provided editorial support for daily live programs, weekly produced shows, and digital-first podcasts. Under her leadership, Connecticut Public talk shows have won numerous national awards including PMJA, Gracies and a Murrow.
Catie has taught storytelling and journalism classes to high school and college students, including at the Transom Story Workshop.
For years, she hosted *the ear cave*, a listening session led by a rotating cast of local radio professionals held at a coffeehouse in Hartford, CT. Her Radio Adventure Theater was an experimental variety show that combined live music, theater, poetry and documentary radio.
Catie’s foray into magazine writing includes an article on her Polish heritage published in SilverKris, the in-flight magazine for Singapore Airlines.
