Words to Give By is a community-wide storytelling project created to find, record and share stories of everyday generosity. Participants can sign up to record their story (through a one-on-one interview) with WNPR producers at one of 15 locations throughout the Hartford, Connecticut region. About 30 edited stories from those sessions will air on WNPR from April through November 2015.

A total of 50 selected stories will be posted on Words to Give by is a partnership between the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and WNPR. We want to know how neighbors, friends, family – even strangers – have helped each other through tough times. By capturing and sharing these stories, we hope to uncover the everyday acts of kindness that typically go unheard.
