The Yard Goats held an event today in downtown Hartford for season ticket holders. Team owner Josh Solomon was present for the second annual hot stove luncheon.

UConn beat South Florida 102-37 Tuesday night. That’s hardly breaking news considering the Huskies have done that all 21 times that they have faced off against the Bulls. The women are 66-0 against conference rivals since joining the American Athletic Conference back in 2013.

For the first time in 11 years, national titles for cyclocross, a unique terrain-style cycling race, were presented in New England this past week. Saturday's winter storm that unloaded about seven inches of snow in the capital provided the perfect backdrop.

  Vin Baker was an Olympic basketball player and four-time NBA All Star. The journey from University of Hartford to professional basketball got him rich quick, but it was a lifestyle he couldn't keep up with.

Baker's struggle with alcoholism is well-documented, as is the fact he blew through $100 million. He lost his home and restaurant.
