Nov 13, 2017

Today, Where We Live, we explore ways everyday citizens can work within their communities to help address mental health needs.

We hear the story of a Waterbury resident who lost  someone he loved in the 2016 mass shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

A trainer from non-profit Mental Health Connecticut joins us to talk about the 8-hour course, described as the mental health equivalent to learning CPR.

We also check in with WNPR education reporter David DesRoches about a troubling story at the University of Hartford.
