It's been one month since a 16-year-old transgender teen was sent to York Correctional Institution after DCF told a court she was too violent to remain in its custody.
On Thursday, Jane Doe sent a letter to Governor Dannel Malloy asking him to intervene.
The teen wrote, "My lawyer says Commissioner Katz is the only one who can fix this but when I wrote her a letter it didn't help." She continued, "If you're her boss you can do something, right?"

Andrew Doba, a spokesman for the governor, said they have seen the letter. Doba said, "No one thinks this is a good situation, and we're currently looking at other options."
Meanwhile supporters for Jane Doe are planning another rally for her in front of DCF headquarters on Friday.
