A group of parents in Darienhave filed a complaint against the school district, alleging that their children with learning disabilities have not been getting the services they are supposed to. It’s just one of many examples of parents fighting through a hard-to-navigate system, one where schools say they’re struggling to find the money to pay for learning disabled students.
Today where we live, we’ll try to examine this issue and look at how schools are teaching students with learning disabilities - what the law is and what parents should know about their rights.
