Metro-North customers can expect residual delays on the New Haven Line Thursday morning because of mechanical problems with a bridge in Norwalk.
The railroad had limited shuttle bus service between East Norwalk and South Norwalk, while crews worked to close the Walk Bridge, which rotates open to allow boats to pass through. The bridge was stuck open.
The railroad bridge was built in 1896 and the state recently applied for federal transportation funds to replace it.
Metro-North is posted updates on Twitter:
Please be advised that all repairs have been made to the Walk Bridge. Train Service has been restored between SoNo and East Norwalk
