Today's Scramble will be another all-call show. We won't have any guests - just you and your calls to Colin.
Colin quotes New Yorker editor David Remnick:
In all, with Putin behaving like “a Bond villain,” the country on alert against a nuclear North Korea, and the Oval Office occupied by a reality-TV personality, Clinton seemed to feel that a line had been crossed; the country had fallen into a perilous state of unreality.
We can think of many reasons why the news this holiday weekend may have reinforced that perilous state of unreality becoming more common in America this last year: President Trump again assaulted the freedom and credibility of CNN International while Vladimir Putin passed a law permitting non-Russian media to be labeled as "foreign agents"; there is a war going on at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau; and there is outcry over a New York Times piece that shows the banality of a Nazi.
Is this really happening in America? Call us with your concerns.
