Mistrusting Russia is as American as apple pie. And as news breaks daily of Russia's ties to the Trump campaign, meddling in our recent election, and destabilization of democracies around the globe, that mistrust is growing even stronger.

But how warranted is it? This hour, we look back at the long history of tension between the U.S. and the former Soviet Union, ask how things have changed in recent years and what we can expect in the near future under the leadership of President Trump.
