Massachusetts is now the 21st state to offer online voter registration.Secretary of State William Galvin said Tuesday that residents can use the new system to register to vote, change their address for voting purposes and even change party affiliation.
Galvin says the online portal will make it easier to register and vote in next year's presidential election.
The Massachusetts primary is scheduled for March 1.
The online voter registration system can be accessed through the secretary of state’s website.
The Legislature approved a law that allowed for online voter registration as well as early voting in the November 2016 general election.
