A judge has tossed out a Chicago educator's lawsuit against New London's board of education and its chairwoman.
Terrence Carter sued for more than $15,000, claiming they breached an agreement to hire him.
The board voted in 2014 to appoint Carter as the superintendent of the school system. However, the vote was postponed after newspaper articles were published questioning his credentials.
The board voted to rescind his hiring after an investigation revealed that his cover letter contained plagiarized passages and showed he had been dishonest about his bankruptcy filing history.
A Superior Court judge threw out Carter's lawsuit Tuesday, saying he repeatedly and intentionally misrepresented his credentials as well as his criminal and financial history.
Carter and his lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment.
