It's an All-Star "Star Wars" Nose

Star Wars fans are anxiously awaiting the release of "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens," the seventh film in the Star Wars franchise, and first one without George Lucas at the helm. Will J.J. Abrams live up to the challenge? And where is Luke Skywalker?

Our enduring fascination with the franchise goes back almost 40 years. Collective fervor increased when "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi" followed "Star Wars IV: A New Hope." We rooted for Luke Skywalker and his rebel gang to defeat the Galactic Empire and later, the growing cast of heroes and villains in the books, comics and video games that unfurled the Expanded Universe.

Today, we talk to four of the writers from the Expanded Universe, who are in Hartford to visit with their fans.

Colin McEnroe, Chion Wolf, Patrick Skahill, and Tucker Ives contributed to the show, along with interns Zach LaSala, Sarah Flaherty, and Amanda Gallagher.

Betsy started as an intern at WNPR in 2011 after earning a Master's Degree in American and Museum Studies from Trinity College. She served as the Senior Producer for 'The Colin McEnroe Show' for several years before stepping down in 2021 and returning to her previous career as a registered nurse. She still produces shows with Colin and the team when her schedule allows.
