Hartford Election Results Still Unofficial

Here's an update for you -- I just got off the phone with the clerk's office in Hartford and they say that they don't yet have official results.

So I called Urania Petit, one of the city's three registrars.

"We don't have the official numbers yet," she told me. Petit says that the computer program that the city uses tabulate its results is having problems. And, for the record, we're not talking an overwhelming turnout here.

At stake were four board of education seats.  But also, and perhaps more controversial, were a few ballot questions that had to do with charter revision.  The numbers are apparently close enough to cause some confusion.

More to come.
