A Glimpse Into Dr. Seuss's "Amazing World"

"The Cat in the Hat comes back" to Springfield and he’s bringing a few of his friends. Yertle the Turtle, Horton, the Lorax -- all can be found at The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss, a museum honoring the life and legacy of children’s author Theodor Geisel.

This hour, we tour the facility and learn about Geisel’s early years in Springfield. Did you grow up reading Dr. Seuss? Have you shared his books with your children or grandchildren? As always, we want to hear from you.

Plus: Margaret Wise Brown and "the great green room." We find out what a new biography reveals about the 20th-century woman who penned Goodnight Moon.

GUESTS:

  • Kay Simpson - President of the Springfield Museums in Springfield, Massachusetts
  • Amy Gary - Author of In the Great Green Room: The Brilliant and Bold Life of Margaret Wise Brown
