Connecticut Teen in DCF Custody Missing for Five Days

Middletown Police Department

A teenage girl in the custody of the state Department of Children and Families has been missing since the weekend.

DCF and the Middletown Police Department are asking the public for help in finding Jackie Stec. Stec is a white, 15-year-old girl with long, straight black hair. She's 5'4'' tall and weighs 110 pounds.

A DCF spokesman said Stec ran away from a group home on Saturday. According to the local police, she has run away several times in the past while in the custody of DCF but she usually returns on her own. In the past she has gone to Meriden and Manhattan.

Anyone with information on Jackie Stec's whereabouts is being asked to call the Middletown Police Department at (860) 638-4000.
