Connecticut Civil War History Tour

http://cptv.vo.llnwd.net/o2/ypmwebcontent/Catie/Where%20We%20Live%2008-10-2011.mp3

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the start of the American Civil War, and the state of Connecticut is paying tribute.

Earlier this year, we talked a bit aboutConnecticut’s civil war history - and got a big response.  Including from our friend, author and historian Bill Hosley.

Next month, he’ll lead a bus trip that hits some of our state’s historical hot spots.  It’s called “Connecticut's Civil War Treasure Troves” - and its sponsored by the Connecticut Historical Society.

He’ll be hopping around the state to sample the best of our artifacts and lore - which unlike in Southern states, aren’t confined to large, central, civil war museums - instead they’re spread out through the 169 towns and cities.

We want to hear from you - what are the historical sites where you live?  How has your town commemorated the “War Between The States?”  And, if you’re a civil war reenacter - we definately want to hear from you!
