Every summer, a world of arts and ideasdescends on New Haven Connecticut - and we're here to take a look and a listen.
Today, we're broadcasting live from The Study at Yale - a beautiful, modern hotel, right in the heart of the city on Chapel Street. We're only a block from a few of Yale's terrific art galleries. But honestly, during the Festival of Arts and Ideas, art is everywhere.
For these few, short weeks in June, visual and performing artists mingle with big thinkers of all types to present a festival that is unique in Connecticut.
We'll give you an idea of the kind of range you'll find here on today's show. First, members of The National Theatre of Scotland join us to discuss their mesmerizing, interactive play, "The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart." Then, we'll visit with the high-flying Austrailian Circus Troupe,Circa.
Finally, cultural critic Siddartha Mitter will talk about music that inspires change.
