Dan began his career in public radio at WUFT-FM in Gainesville while attending the University of Florida. As host and producer of the Front Page Edition of All Things Considered, he interviewed several key political figures as well as some controversial personalities. He has been recognized by the Florida Associated Press and the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists for his feature reporting.

The ACLU of Connecticut wants a study on how police in cities and towns across the state are implementing the use of body cameras.

Executive Director David McGuire testified before Connecticut lawmakers this week about a bill that would ask for a study on how that money is being spent. He said that $10 million was bonded in 2015 for the purchase of body cameras but that municipalities have yet to take advantage of it.

On Friday Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim launched a new initiative to help ex-felons find jobs.




Ganim was re-elected as mayor of Connecticut's largest city last November after spending seven years in prison.
